Summer, sun, sunburn? That can easily happen on our Macardo Swiss Distillery terrace if you're not careful. Because it is a real highlight for connoisseurs. And that's not just because of the many delicious Macardo specialties you can enjoy there. It's also its location and orientation, which makes you forget the time and get that vacation feeling: The magnificent view of Alpstein and Säntis. We are looking forward to your visit!
From Frauenfeld and Weinfelden you can reach us with the Postbus line 838.
The bus stop "Fimmelsberg / Kreuz" is directly in front of our house.

In Veloland Thurgau many paths lead to Strohwilen. Here you will find a selection of possible routes.
From the area Konstanz / Kreuzlingen follow the A7 to junction 5, Grüneck, and then road no. 14 towards Weinfelden. At the height of Märstetten, leave the traffic circle in the direction of Wil / Münchwilen and turn right in Junkholz at the sign Fimmelsberg, Thundorf, Frauenfeld into Frauenfelderstrasse. After just under one kilometer you will reach Macardo.
From the area of St.Gallen / Rheintal follow the A1 in the direction of Zurich until exit 76, Münchwilen. First follow the signs Münchwilen / Sirnach and then the signs towards Weinfelden. In Tobel / Tägerschen turn left into Wilerstrasse (16) in the direction of Konstanz, Kreuzlingen, Affeltrangen, Tobel. After about 5 kilometers, just before the hamlet of Bänikon, turn left into Sonnenhofstrasse. After about one kilometer you will reach Macardo.
From the Zurich area first follow the A1 in the direction of St.Gallen and from freeway junction 73, Winterthur Ost, the A7 in the direction of Konstanz. At junction 5, Grüneck, follow the signs to Romanshorn, Müllheim, Weinfelden and drive to Märstetten. There you leave the traffic circle in the direction of Wil / Münchwilen and turn right in Junkholz at the sign Fimmelsberg, Thundorf, Frauenfeld into Frauenfelderstrasse. After about one kilometer you will reach Macardo.
Enjoy the world of Macardo on two levels
Our terrace is not only perfectly aligned with the alpine panorama, it also offers plenty of space on two levels for you to enjoy time, place and our Macardo delicacies. The lower level is part of our event location, making it the perfect outdoor addition for any indoor festivities you can think of. The upper level is part of the Cocktail-Cigar Lounge and has very comfortable lounge furniture.
Delicious glaces enhanced with Macardo spirits
Their names are Slow Gin Pink Pepper, Gin on Ice, Gin with Celery, Mandarin Chili Guapa as well as Vieil Abricot Yogurt and they taste what they are called: Special. These delicious ice creations have been enhanced with our Macardo spirits Sir Dry Gin, Sloe Gin, La Guapa Liqueur de Mandarine and Vieil Abricot. Irresistibly good. In addition to these special Macardo Glaces, we also offer other ice cream varieties on our ice cream menu.
