Brandy - known in German-speaking countries as "Weinbrand" and in French-speaking countries as "Cognac" - is a traditional spirit made from the distillation of wine. While cognac may only come from the region of the same name in France, brandy is a generic term for all high-quality brandies worldwide.

Bt Macardo in Amlikon, Thurgau, this tradition is reinterpreted: The Macardo Brandy - Solera Gran Reserva is the first Swiss premium brandy, made from selected Thurgau grapes, matured using the traditional solera method and refined in former Macardo whisky barrels. This special ageing process gives it depth, elegance and subtle notes of vanilla, caramel and dried fruit. The final maturation takes place in a 500 litre Grand Marnier barrel.

OWhether enjoyed neat in a rolling tumbler, as a digestif or in classic cocktails, brandy impresses with its variety and aromatic richness.
