Guided tour of the world of Macardo
The world of Macardo includes not only one of the most modern distilleries in Switzerland, or the most innovative barrel warehouse in the world. It also includes a premium bed & breakfast with 10 rooms, business apartments, an event location, an Honesty Bar with Smoker Lounge and a walk-in store. Gain insight into all facets of the Macardo world with a guided tour. The tour concludes with a tasting of Macardo products.

Part of the tour - the distillery
Visit our distillery and learn how we make our premium spirits. How we select the regional ingredients. How we mash, ferment and distill with wood fire. You'll hear and learn a lot about our craft and about the proper refinement of the different distillates - and why sustainability is an important factor for Macardo. Of course, the enjoyment is not neglected either. During the tasting, our experts will explain to you how to properly enjoy and assess the individual spirits. Look forward to a great event with many impressions.
Part of the tour - the barrel warehouse
Our barrel warehouse: Not only a world first, but also Macardo's treasure trove. Here, our premium distillates mature in selected barrels in a perfect microclimate. On a guided tour, our experts will tell you many exciting details about the complex technologies and processes in our barrel warehouse. Learn all about the "Angels' share" and the "Devil's Cut". Learn where Macardo sources its casks and why the cask has an enormous influence on the taste of our whiskies and distillates. And afterwards you may also taste our specialties.

Our distillery is not only a place where we produce high-quality spirits, but also a place where visitors can have a unique experience. During our distillery tour you will get a deep insight into our production processes and learn more about our high quality distillates.
The building in which our distillery is located dates back to 1904 and gives our distillery a special atmosphere. We heat our kiln with either wood or solar power to ensure that our production is environmentally friendly. During the distillery tour you will learn how we produce our distillates and what technologies we use to ensure the quality of our products.
A special highlight of our distillery tour is the new type of barrel storage. We use oak barrels to give our distillates the perfect taste and texture. We have also implemented new technologies in our barrel warehouse to ensure that our distillates are stored perfectly.
After the distillery tour you will have the opportunity to taste our distillates. We offer a tasting of our own distillates, including whiskey, gin, rum, vodka, grappa and much more. During the tasting you can get to know the different aromas and flavors of our distillates and convince yourself of the high quality of our products.
The total duration of the distillery tour is about 1 ½ hours and is an unforgettable experience for all who are interested in high quality spirits and the production of alcohol. We look forward to welcoming you and showing you our distillery.
